ALEXANDRIA, VA, July 11, 2002 – This week, the Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association (SBCA) announced that nationwide consumer electronics chain RadioShack (NYSE: RSH) has joined the SBCA.

“The SBCA is extremely pleased that RadioShack has decided to join the SBCA,” said SBCA President Andy Wright.  “RadioShack has been a long-time supporter of the satellite industry through the sale and installation of consumer satellite systems, and they stand firmly behind the SBCA’s National Standards and Testing Program (NSTP).  We look forward to working with RadioShack as we continue to promote customer service industry wide, and look towards expanding and enhancing the NSTP program.”

RadioShack has given a strong commitment to the NSTP and to date has 1100 technicians who have passed the NSTP certification course.
